John Byrum has over 30 years of experience in the water treatment industry. John has addressed many water quality issues while serving as director of water production for the San Antonio Water System, director for the department of water/wastewater in Victoria, Texas, and assistant director of public works in operations for the City of San Angelo, Texas. John earned an AA degree in Environmental Engineering at Texas State Technical College-Waco (TX), a BA degree from the University of Houston-Victoria (TX), holds a class “A” water operator license, and a class “A” wastewater operator license in Texas. He also did graduate work in public administration at the University of Texas at San Antonio (TX). John is a member of the American Water Works Association and is past president of the Texas Water Utilities Association. John and his wife enjoy family activities and spending time with their grandchildren in their leisure time.
